Aacharya Mani & Best Teacher Award – 2023

Our Vice Principal Mrs. D Lakshmi Prabha and Mrs Lalitha balu head of the department of Science received award for their dedicated services for decades together to the student fraternity. Mrs. D Lakshmi Prabha (Vice Principal) received the ‘Aacharya Mani’ award from Chennai Sahodaya School Complex. Mrs. Lalitha Balu (HOD, Science Department) received the ‘Best Teacher’ award from West Chennai Sahodaya Cluster Schools.

Interschool cultural competition- Tarang 2023

Tarang an interschool cultural competition was organized by PSBB millennium on 30th June &1st July 2023. Our school participated in various events of Tarang and won the Tarang’23 prizes. Aswin won the ‘Mr.Tarang’ title and our school won the overall prizes.

Remembering composer Muthiah Bhagavathars

Karpagam Sangeetha Vidyalayam celebrated ‘Vaggeyakkara Vaibhavam’ in rememberance of Sri Muthiah Bhagavathar. Our student Aadya Venkatesh of class V sang various rare compositions of Muthiah Bhagavathar. This event held in association with Chennai fine arts.

Acharya Ratna Award - Chennai Sahodaya Schools Complex

Our Principal Mrs. V. Gowrilakshmi was presented the Acharya Ratna Award (Best Principal Award) by Chennai Sahodaya Schools Complex on October 27th at Bhavans Rajaji Vidyashram (Kilpauk) for her contributions in the field of education. Dr. G Balasubramanian, Former Director, Academics, CBSE New Delhi was the Chief Guest and Shri. Dinesh Ram, Regional Officer CBSE, Chennai were the guests of honour.

Roller skating championship

Yaadhira S. of class I-B had participated in the "Tamilnadu Roller skating championship 2021" organized by the Tamilnadu roller skating association. The meet was held at VoC rink Coimbatore district on 11th June 2022. In this context, Yaadhira S. has won 2 silver medals in R2 and R3 tracks and her achievement has also been published on Dinamalar Paper. She has also competed 14 states and 1 Gold in R3 and 1 Bronze in R2 and brought laurels to Tamilnadu too.

TN state level chess tournament

Decathlon, in association with GVCA Chess Academy, conducted a TN state level chess tournament at their premises at Mogappair on 12-6-2022. Janani.M from CVA Class V won the tournament in the under 10 girls category. The event was also covered & published in Dinamalar magazine.

Best Teacher awards for Chinmaya Vidyalaya teachers

Three teachers of Chinmaya Vidyalaya (Belly Area, Anna Nagar) were presented Best Teacher awards last month in appreciation of their meritorious services. Bindu Ramakrishnan (Kindergarten teacher) was presented the award jointly by Hindu Educational and Charitable Trust and The International Association of Lions Club on Sep 5. Gnanavadivu.V (Computer Science Department) received the award from Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology on Sep. 20. M. Rajashree Menon (English Department) received the award from West Chennai Sahodaya Cluster Schools on Sep. 25.

Lions Club - “Dr. Radhakrishnan Teaching Excellence Award”

Mr. Subramani & Mrs.Thangam have received “Dr. Radhakrishnan Teaching Excellence Award” for their dedicated service rendered in the field of Education. The function was held at Mohan Gardens, Korattur, Chennai on 1st November 2020. The Chief Guest was Lion P V Prakash Kumar, District Governor. The Guest of Honours were Sun TV fame Pulavar Professor Nellai Subbaiah & Dr. S. Raja Samuel, Principal - Madras School of Social Work. Mr Subramani (Computer Science) was nominated by Arcot Lions Club & Mrs. Thangam (Librarian) was nominated by Lions Club of Chennai Super Kings.

West Chennai Sahodaya cluster award 2020

Each year the West Chennai Sahodaya cluster schools honour teachers for their contribution in the field of education. Mrs Usha Joseph , head of the KG dept was the recipient of the award for 2020 from our school. The ' Teacher's day award function 2020' was held at Union Christian public school, Chetpet on 22nd September through virtual platform. The chief guest was Dr Sajeev Abraham George, professor, operations and supply chain, chairman, PGDM program, S P Jain institute of management and research, Mumbai.

National Teakwondo Tournament – Gold Medal

The Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Edappadi K Palaniswamy, the honourable Deputy Chief minister Mr. O Paneerselvam the AIADMK Presiduim Chairman, Mr. E Madhusudhanan, Party spokes person and Senior leader Mr. Ponnaiyan and other AIADMK ministers honoured P S Thvarita Rao, class VIII student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Annanagar for having won 52 medals (28 Gold, 13 Silver , 12 bronze) at District, State , National and International level tournaments. She was felicitated for having won the Gold medal at the 1st National Teakwondo Tournament for schools at Lucknow in the first week of November and later the Silver medal at the 64th SGFI National school Games at Manipur. She will be representing India in the International school Games in the near future.Congratulations and All the best to Thvarita Rao.

BUDDING SCIENTIST – WINNER OF THE DUPONT PAPER (2004 – 05) PRESENTATION ON CLONING AND THE NATIONAL SCIENCE PROJECT EXHIBITION

Proud to announce that Vishnu A Sujeesh of our Std XII Student got placed in SSN College, under Sports quota. He secured the second rank among the entire pupil who applied under sports Quota. He was the Indian International Sailer . He won many prizes & brought laurels to the schools. Our Congratulations & best wishes to him.

Our Vidyalaya students Subhashish Dey of Std X and Deepak pradeep of Std IX excelling in English Literature. Subhashish Dey has written and released a story book named FATE’S DESIGN and Deepak pradeep has written a story TINY THE FIRE CRACKER in Magic pot children’s magazine in October 2nd issue. Congratulations to both budding stars for their commendable job.
