A students training program was organized by Karuna club for students of class 8 on 18-10-19. The programme was of 2 sessions. Welcome address was given by Mrs. Vidhyalakshmi, Karuna club coordinator of our school.
The first session was conducted by Mr. Pal Baskaran (Karuna club) on “How to become an extraordinary student”. Children were instructed about the various strategies that can be followed to become an extraordinary student and become successful in life. The session was enjoyable and thought provoking.
The second session was conducted by Mr. Sanjay, a volunteer from Blue cross, Chennai. He explained about the various troubles faced by animals due to human activities using appropriate videos. He made students aware of the problems faced by the animals due to improper disposal of garbage and plastic waste in particular. He educated the children on the strategies that can be used to avoid all these problems.

On account of Gandhi Jayanthi, a rally was organized by Karuna club on 10-10-19. The aim was to promote the Ahimsa pathway of life among children. Children of classes 6, 7 and 8 took part in the rally. Karuna club in-charge Mr. Reddy and our vice principal mam waved the flag and began the rally. Children walked around the nearby area covering all the streets in Chinmaya Nagar and Natesa nagar. They were carrying placards with slogans and posters depicting the path of non-violence. Later, Mr. Reddy spoke about the necessity to stop violence and adopt a peaceful way of living. 3 best placards were chosen and prizes were announced. Overall, it was very successful in creating awareness among children and people of the neighbourhood.

Save water campaign was conducted in our vidyalaya where children made posters, badges and raised slogans to campaign on importance of water conservation. View Images...
Gho pooja was performed in the auditorium on 14th June 2019 by Correspondent sir, Principal and VP mam. Teachers of the Vidyalaya and students of class 6 and 7 took part in the puja. View Images...
