The 53rd Annual Sports Day of our Vidyalaya was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 19th September 2025 at the SDAT Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Periamet, Chennai. The event was graced by Mrs. R. Ponni, IPS, Zonal DIG, APSZ HQ, Tamil Nadu, who presided over the occasion. The day concluded on a high note with the closing ceremony led by Ms. Anusree K. P, International Volleyball Champion. The vibrant display of athletic talent, discipline, and determination truly reflected the spirit of sportsmanship, leaving an inspiring mark on all present.
The youngest members of our school family brought devotion and delight to the festive season through their live Kolu presentations. On 17th September, the KG children charmingly enacted the episode of Gyanapazham, filling the stage with innocence and joy. The next day, 18th September, the Kindergarten students continued the celebrations with their own lively presentation, radiating enthusiasm and cultural pride. The colourful displays, cheerful participation, and devotional spirit of the children left the audience spellbound, making the celebrations a heartwarming blend of tradition and festivity.
Hindi Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 16th September. A special highlight of the day was the melodious song presentation, penned by Smt. Srividya, Hindi faculty, with music composed by Vinisha of Class XI. The performance beautifully reflected the essence of the language while showcasing creativity and collaboration. The celebration stood as a reminder that our school nurtures not only the talents of its students but also the creative spirit of its teachers.
The spirit of festivity filled Chinmaya Vidyalaya as Onam was joyfully celebrated by KG students on 4th September. On 6th September, Classes 11 and 12 took the lead in organizing a vibrant celebration that beautifully blended Onam and Teachers’ Day. A colourful Pookalam adorned the venue, setting the tone for the cultural festivities. Traditional dance, soulful music, and warm tributes to teachers created a memorable atmosphere, reflecting gratitude and cultural pride.
On 3rd September 2025, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Sr. Sec. School proudly hosted the “Skills on Wheels” initiative by Lend A Hand India, in collaboration with CBSE. As the mobile lab rolled in, students stepped into the world of hands-on learning—drilling, grinding, carving, circuit-making, and even basic medical checks like BMI and blood pressure monitoring. Covering fields like electronics, mechanics, agriculture, and health, the experience seamlessly blended theory with practice. This initiative ignited curiosity in students, empowering practical thinking, and reminding them that true learning often begins where the textbook ends.
The Chinmaya Balasevak Food Mela was held on 2nd and 3rd September, hosted by students of Classes 7 and 8. They set up stalls with homemade, traditional, and nutritious dishes, stepping into the shoes of young entrepreneurs. The event aimed at maximizing funds, which were donated to orphanages, old-age homes, and anganwadis. The initiative allowed students to blend creativity with compassion, developing life skills while supporting a noble cause.
In honour of National Sports Day on 29th August, the pledge “Ek Ghanta Khel Ke Maidan Mein” was taken by students on 30th August, encouraging physical activity and fitness. To mark the occasion, a series of fun and engaging games were organized for Classes XI and XII. Led by Mr. Ramkumar and Dr. Venugopal, the activities brought energy, teamwork, and excitement to the field. The event reminded students that sports are not just about competition, but about building discipline, unity and joy in motion.
Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm on 28th September in the school premises. Students across all levels participated in a variety of activities. Beautifully decorated idols of Lord Ganesha were worshipped with pooja rituals. Soulful chants of Ganesha Panchratnam and Vinayakar Agaval and later the ceremonial procession around the campus followed by Arthi and Prasadam, deepened students' cultural understanding, encouraged creativity, and imparted timeless values such as perseverance, wisdom, and respect for tradition.
A Capacity Building Workshop on Art Integration for teachers was held at our school on 19th August. The one-day workshop was conducted by Smt. Chempian Elavarasi, Principal, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Sr. Sec. School, Virugambakkam, and Smt. V. Gowrilakshmi, Principal, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Anna nagar, as the resource person. The sessions were highly enriching, engaging teachers in a variety of hands-on activities that demonstrated effective ways of integrating art into everyday classroom learning. Innovative strategies on utilizing available resources as creative tools to enhance teaching and learning were enthusiastically received by the participants, making the workshop both inspiring and practical.
The spirit of patriotism filled the air as the school celebrated Independence Day on 15th August with grandeur and reverence. Shri. Rajkumar M, IFS, Protector of Emigrants, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Chennai, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He unfurled the National Flag and received the salute, filling the gathering with pride and devotion.
The celebration reflected the essence of freedom through a variety of performances by the students. From inspiring individual presentations to vibrant cultural programmes, each performance radiated enthusiasm and respect for the nation. The talent and dedication displayed by the students left the audience spellbound, while the entire event served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters and the responsibility of every citizen to uphold the values of our great nation.
On 13th August, the school reverberated with divine vibrations during the Mass Vishnu Sahasranamam chanting. The collective voices of students chanting in unison created a serene and spiritual atmosphere, invoking blessings of Lord Vishnu. The chanting was followed by the joyous Janmashtami celebrations in the Kindergarten section. The little ones, dressed adorably as Krishna and Radha, brought alive the spirit of devotion and festivity. The classrooms were beautifully adorned with flowers and decorations, while the children sang bhajans, chanted shlokas, and participated in fun-filled traditional games. Dressed in colourful attire, the students radiated joy and innocence, making the celebration a memorable offering of love and devotion to Lord Krishna.
On August 2nd, the students of Class XI, accompanied by teachers Smt. Viji Mohan and Smt. Kala Sivakumar, attended the release of “New World: 21st Century Global Order and India” at the Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Chetpet. Authored by Shri Ram Madhav, the book explores India’s role in the changing global landscape. The event also featured an insightful discussion with Mr. Syed Akbaruddin, retired diplomat. The experience offered students a deeper understanding of contemporary issues while broadening their global outlook.
The 32nd Maha Aradhana Day of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati was commemorated with a project exhibition titled Rashtra Devo Bhava on 2nd August at our school. The exhibition, inaugurated by Swami Sureshananda, was presented by students of Classes VI to VIII. The displays seamlessly bridged the past and the present—celebrating empowered women from ancient and modern times, juxtaposing traditional astronomical wisdom with contemporary space exploration, and highlighting defence strategies of the past alongside present-day military systems. The exhibition stood as a testimony to the students’ creativity, research, and ability to draw timeless lessons for today’s world.
The 32nd Maha Aradhana Day of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati was meaningfully observed on 1st August by the members of CHYK CTC Virugambakkam. The celebration began with a symbolic walk, during which members held placards bearing Gurudev’s inspiring quotes, reflecting reverence and inner reflection. Spiritual fervour filled the atmosphere with soulful bhajans, chanting of the Guru Stotram, Gita Dhyana Shlokas, and verses from Chapter 15 of the Bhagavad Gita. A dramatization of Gurudev’s timeless message—“If I rest, I rust. I can, I must.”—served as a reminder to live with dynamism and purpose. The event concluded with the lighting of 28 diyas, symbolising the spread of Gurudev’s eternal light of wisdom across the world.
As the Chinmaya Mission celebrates its glorious 75th anniversary, our Chinmaya Computing Club (CCC) reverentially offers “Chinmaya Gita,” a humble tribute at the sacred feet of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. Rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and Gurudev’s luminous teachings, this project brings his eternal teachings into the digital age.
At its heart lies “Ask Gita,” an AI-powered chatbot that enables seekers to pose life questions and receive authentic guidance drawn from Gurudev’s Holy Gita commentary. Powered by Natural Language Processing (NLP) and strengthened with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) technology, it ensures every response remains faithful and true to the source.
The project also features “Today’s Inspiration” and “Explore the Gita,” offering daily wisdom and verse-based learning.
This initiative was mentored by Mrs. Aishwarya S Bramma, guided by our Principal Mrs. Elavarasi, and lovingly developed by CCC students Yashaswini, Haritha, Tharish, and Vishvesh. With devotion, we offer this work as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern seekers.

To mark the occasion, students of the primary classes presented Yugatvam – Echoes of Wisdom Across Yugas, a vibrant cultural programme. Br. Ananda Chaitanyaji graced the event as the Chief Guest, and Smt. P. Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Director, Chinmaya Vidyalayas, Chennai, was the Guest of Honour. The performance beautifully depicted the progression of the yugas, the Dasavataras, and the modern world. The young students, with their enthusiasm and devotion, left the audience deeply inspired.
The historic Tamil versification of the Bhagavad Gita, envisioned by Swami Mitrananda, was released by the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at GangaiKonda Cholapuram on 27th July. To celebrate this milestone, a heartwarming felicitation was held at the Chinmaya Heritage Centre on August 3rd where Swami Mitrananda honoured three dedicated teachers—Mr. Vijayakumar, Smt. Velvizhi, and Smt. Vidyalakshmi—for their invaluable contributions to the project. Their efforts stand as a shining example of devotion and scholarship, enabling the eternal wisdom of the Gita to resonate in the mellifluous beauty of Tamil for generations to come.
As part of our Vidyalaya’s health and wellness programme, Aditya Eye Hospital conducted eye check-ups for all students from Classes I to XII on 28th, 30th, and 31st July.
The friendly team of doctors examined each child’s vision with care and patience, helping students understand the importance of keeping their eyes healthy. Early detection and timely advice will ensure that our children’s bright eyes continue to sparkle with curiosity and joy!
The Tamil versification of the Bhagavad Gita, developed by Chinmaya Mission Chennai under the visionary guidance of Swami Mitranananda, was formally released by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 27th July 2025. This significant offering commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Chinmaya Movement and serves as a cherished gift to the Tamil diaspora worldwide. The release ceremony was held at Gangaikonda Cholapuram, Tamil Nadu, where the Prime Minister acknowledged and lauded the dedicated efforts of Chinmaya Mission and all associated contributors for their valuable contribution to Tamil cultural heritage. The verses from the Bhagavad Gita, articulating its profound teachings through a melodious Tamil composition, were enriched by the music of the esteemed maestro Ilaiyaraaja. We take immense pride in the fact that our Vidyalaya teachers – Dr.Velvizhi and Mr.Vijayakumar played an active role in this noble project, contributing their time, skill, and dedication to a work that will inspire generations.
As part of the Karuna Club activities, a ‘Teachers’ Training Programme’ on Effective Teaching was organised at our Vidyalaya on 26th July, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. The session brought together 25 teaching faculty members from ten different schools, including Principals, Vice Principals, and teachers. Shri Sajjan Jain and Shri Anil Khicha graced the occasion as Chief Guests, while Smt. Indhumathy and Shri Praful Kumar Nahata enriched the gathering as expert resource persons.
A series of enlightening discourses on select verses from the Bhagavad Geeta, delivered in Malayalam by Brahmachari Ananda Chaitanyaji, was held at our Vidyalaya from 21st to 24th July. This spiritual Yagna provided a precious opportunity for attendees to imbibe the timeless wisdom of the Geeta, presented in a simple and accessible manner, nurturing deeper understanding and devotion
Ms. P. Visalakshi and Ms. Bharathi Ayyaswamy attended a workshop titled Reimagining Math Classrooms, conducted by Ms. Swetha Choudary, Senior Secondary Mathematics Expert and CBSE Resource Person. Organised by Smart Minds, VK Global Publications, the session was held on 19th July at The Park, Nungambakkam, Chennai. The workshop focused on innovative strategies to make mathematics teaching more engaging and effective, in alignment with 21st-century learning goals.
As a sacred prelude to the Maha Aradhana Day of our Pujya Gurudev, our Vidyalaya upholds the cherished tradition of Bhagavad Geeta chanting. Beginning on 14th July, teachers recited one chapter each day, completing all eighteen chapters by 2nd August, in time for the Aradhana Day on 3rd August.
The Bhagavad Geeta was our Gurudev’s very life-breath, and it is through his vision and inspiration that Geeta chanting has become an enduring spiritual practice for many. This annual observance is our humble salutation to Him — the guiding light who awakened in countless hearts the love for the timeless wisdom of the Geeta

Our Vidyalaya organised an enriching workshop on 12th July for KG teachers, along with English, Mathematics, and Tamil teachers of Class X, and English, Economics, and Chemistry teachers of Class XII. For Class X, the sessions were led by resource persons Smt. Manjusha, Smt. G. Latha, and Smt. Chitrakala. The Class XII sessions were facilitated by Smt. Vasundhara, Smt. Viji Mohan, and Smt. Elavarasi. The workshop offered valuable insights, innovative strategies, and practical approaches to enhance the teaching–learning experience, reflecting our Vidyalaya’s commitment to continuous growth and excellence in education.
11 Event Guru Poornima, a day dedicated to honouring and expressing gratitude to one’s guru, was celebrated in our school on 10th July.

Smt. Shanthi Mulayath, a devoted seeker and sevak of Chinmaya Mission, Chennai, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. The programme included the sacred Veda Vyasa Puja and the Guru Paduka Puja offered at the holy feet of our Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. With devotion and reverence, students and staff offered their salutations to Him — our eternal guiding light — whose wisdom continues to inspire and illuminate our path.
Our Vidyalaya warmly bid farewell to the Class XII batch of 2025 on 6th July, with classrooms adorned in vibrant décor and a line-up of engaging games that kept spirits high. Laughter, nostalgia, and camaraderie filled the day as students reminisced about their years at the Vidyalaya and the memories they had created together. The event concluded with a delightful lunch, leaving behind cherished moments and marking a heartfelt send-off for our graduating students.
The spirit of leadership filled the air on 3rd July as Dharshinee L and Taarun were officially entrusted with their roles as ASPL Girl and ASPL Boy. The solemn occasion was graced by our Correspondent, Shri. N. Nagarajan, who served as the Chief Guest and inspired the young leaders with his presence. On 9th July, the leadership mantle for the Primary section was ceremoniously passed on to Dhanvanth and Aditi, who were announced as the SPL Boy and SPL Girl. With this honour came the promise of guiding their peers with commitment, integrity, and a vision to lead by example.
Our Vidyalaya proudly hosted a vibrant two-day Model United Nations (MUN) conference, welcoming 330 student delegates from 15 esteemed schools across Chennai. Held on 30th June and 1st July, the event transformed the campus into a dynamic arena of diplomacy, debate, and global awareness. Throughout the sessions, delegates showcased exceptional research, public speaking, and negotiation skills, all while upholding the values of collaboration and mutual respect. The conference concluded with the recognition of outstanding participants for their exemplary leadership and eloquent contributions.
Chinmayam 2025, the much-awaited inter-Chinmaya cultural event, was inaugurated by H.H. Swami Mitrananda Ji on 17th July at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Taylors Road, Chennai. The two-day celebration of culture, creativity, and camaraderie witnessed spirited participation from our students, who came out with flying colours in various competitions, bringing pride and joy to our Vidyalaya. Their commendable victories across diverse events were a testament to their talent, preparation, and team spirit
Our school cadets showcased outstanding skills and sportsmanship at the COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP (CATC) - NCC 2025 - 26 camp hosted by the 1TN Naval Unit at AMET University from 4th to 13th July 2025. The training covered seamanship, ship modelling, rifle shooting, and drill.
Ashwanth Arun won 2nd place in rifle shooting and was honoured as Best Shooter. He, along with Ratish, was part of the winning volleyball team, while L. Tharish contributed to the runners-up team. Their spirited performances in cultural events added further glory to the school.

Our Pujya Guruji, His Holiness Swami Tejomayanandaji’s birthday, was celebrated on June 30th. Guruji, as he is affectionately known, is a living portrait of simplicity. Students rendered bhajans reverently seeking his blessings on this auspicious day.
An awareness program was held on 28th June for students of classes VII and VIII on the importance of balanced diet, nutrition, and the benefits of healthy eating habits. The resource person was Mrs. Aiswarya, a senior dietician at Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes and Specialities Centre, Gopalapuram. She is a certified Type 1 Diabetes educator and works enthusiastically towards the welfare of children with type 1 diabetes.
On 21st June 2025, the middle school teachers of Chinmaya Vidyalaya participated in a workshop, at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Taylors Road. Mrs. Maheshwari Natarajan, Director of AM Jain School, Chennai, conducted a session on “Building Critical and Creative Skills in Middle School Students.”
Tamil Department teachers attended a workshop on “Strategies to Improve Teaching and Learning Using Technology” by Dr. Balaraman, Assistant Professor of Science and Anthropology, SRM Ramapuram, Chennai, held at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Virugambakkam 21st June.
As part of the International Yoga Day Celebration—2025, an awareness talk on "Yoga in Daily Life for Young Engineers" was held on 20th June 2025 at 3:00 PM in the R.A. Auditorium, Main Campus of Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, by Dr. R. Venugopal (B.Com, PGDY, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D.), Yoga Master of the Vidyalaya. He addressed the young audience about the significance of incorporating yoga into their daily routines.
National Reading Day was celebrated on 19th June 2025. The theme for this year was ‘Read and Grow’. Kids2Today Publishers held a book fair on 19th and 20th June in the school premises. It was inaugurated by the Correspondent Shri.N Nagarajan. Meera Venkatraman, Samyuktha Niranjan and Sivaramakrishnan had the opportunity to interview Dr. Sudha Seshayyan, director of Sastra University, Chennai Campus, and the Indo-Japan G20 Chair. The benefits of reading books were highlighted in the talk.
Smt. Visalakshi and Smt. Indra Priyadharshini attended Netritva XII, an orientation program for school leaders conducted by CCMT Education Cell, from 18th June to 21st June at Chinmaya Tarangini, Chennai.
‘Khel Sangam 3.0,’ an Inter Chinmaya Athletic Meet, was conducted by Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Anna Nagar at the Chinmaya Sports Complex, Thamaraipakkam, on 17th and 18th June in which 8 schools participated and our school secured the overall second position.
A two-day CVP induction programme was conducted for the new teachers from all the Chinmaya Vidyalayas in Chennai. It was held at Chinmaya Tarangini on the 14th and 15th of June. The session was conducted by Swami Mitrananda, Shri. Sathiyamoorty, Director of Chinmaya Vidyalayas Chennai, Smt. P. Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Director of Chennai, Smt. Vijaya Devanathan, Principal of CVT, and Smt. Latha, teaching faculty. This helped the new teachers to understand the vision and teachings of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda and the philosophy behind the Chinmaya Vision Programme.
The Student Council Election was held on 14th June, providing students from Classes IX to XII the opportunity to exercise their voting rights and elect their leaders. The entire voting process was conducted digitally, powered by the Chinmaya Computing Club, ensuring a secure, efficient, and transparent election experience that reflected the school’s commitment to integrating technology in meaningful ways.
Karuna Club was inaugurated on 14th June. The Chief Guests were Mr. Sajjan Singh Jain, President, Karuna International, Chennai Kendra, and Mrs. Geeta Shroff, Soft skills and English Language Trainer. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by award presentation, and a talk by the dignitaries’ pledge-taking and a cultural program. Mrs. Geeta Shroff conducted an enrichment session on empathy for the students of Class VIII.
Our school warmly welcomed the little ones of the Pre-KG class on 11th June 2025. The day commenced with a short program. The Correspondent, Shri N. Nagarajan, lit the lamp and gave the welcome address. Saraswati puja was performed and the traditional ceremony to initiate children into the world of learning, ‘Aksharabhyasam,’ was held, where the little ones were guided to write ’Om’ on a bed of paddy grains. Students were taught to honour learning as a sacred journey where knowledge is acquired by discipline and grace.
World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2025 with great enthusiasm. As part of the occasion, the Principal, Smt. Chempian Elavarasi, officially launched Mannin Marangal – Our Trees, an AI-powered Tree Recognition App developed by the students of the Chinmaya Computing Club. In a remarkable effort to blend technology with environmental consciousness and reconnect with our native ecosystem, this web application identifies trees and plants through leaf images, promoting awareness and appreciation of our rich natural heritage.

Chinmaya Yuva Kendra(CHYK) CVV celebrated Guru Purnima on 11th July 2025 with great devotion and enthusiasm. The celebration began with an invocation prayer, "Sahana Vavatu...", setting a serene and spiritual tone for the session. To help students understand the deeper meaning behind the occasion, a video on the significance of Guru Purnima by Swami Mitrananda was screened. The message emphasized the role of the Guru in guiding one’s life and highlighted the values of gratitude and reverence. The students also made paper petals garland with heartfelt quotes, Rangoli with which they presented their Guru Purnima wishes artistically symbolizing devotion through creative expression and rendered soulful bhajans. Students participated wholeheartedly expressing their deep respect and gratitude to the Guru.
On May 18th, an online session by Chinmaya Mission was held to appreciate and express deepest gratitude to our defense personnel and martyrs for strategically attacking the terrorists and avenging the attack on 26 innocent lives. Titled ‘Veera Vanakkam,’ the meeting was headed by Swami Mitranandaji to make the worldwide audience know ‘What happened?’ and ‘How it happened?’ Air Marshal Shri Varthaman and Major Shri Madhan Kumar were the eminent speakers, while the entire Chinmaya family, which included parents, students, and staff, listened attentively. Hearing about India’s strength from defense personnel filled our hearts with pride and patriotism for the nation.
The 109th Janma Jayanti of Pujya Swami Chinmayananda (founder of the Chinmaya Mission) was celebrated with reverence and devotion on 8th May 2025. Swamiji dedicated his life to disseminating the knowledge of Advaita Vedanta across India and the world. Shri. N. Nagarajan, Correspondent; Smt. Chempian Elavarasi, Principal; Smt. Vasundhara, Vice Principal; staff; and students performed Paduka Puja and sang Bhajans. As a service, students distributed buttermilk at Koyambedu to quench the thirst of passers-by during the hot month.
A Wellness Retreat was organized by the management for teachers in the serenity of Mamalla Beach Resort on 24th April 2025. The holistic wellbeing programs were meticulously crafted to harmonize physical and mental wellbeing of the teachers. Packed with fun and insightful activities, the program found its mark. Mrs. Deepa Nambiar and Mr. Rajeev Nambiar were the enthusiastic resource persons.
Shakespeare Day is traditionally celebrated on April 23rd, marking both the presumed birth and death date of William Shakespeare. This day is a time to celebrate his legacy as a playwright, poet, and actor. Students of Primary classes reminisced his various plays by dressing up as characters from them. Shakespeare's characters grapple with complex emotions and relationships, which can foster empathy and understanding in readers and viewers.
On April 22nd World Earth Day was celebrated. Earth Day aims to highlight the importance of protecting the environment and to raise awareness about environmental issues. Students were sensitized to environmental issues by taking the My Earth Pledge. Students of Class VIII adopted a sapling, planted it and pledged to take care of it.

Balsevak students of Class VIII embarked on a five-day adventure at Chinmaya Gardens, Coimbatore, joining peers from across India for a vibrant blend of service and learning. From crafting brooms and notebooks to painting trees, creating Azolla pits, and witnessing the making of Vibhoothi and Kumkum, the camp was packed with hands-on experiences. Village visits and eco-friendly projects deepened their connection with the community. Through CORD, students embraced the spirit of selfless service and responsibility, making the camp truly unforgettable.
CBSE workshop on Competency Based Education was held on 12th April 2025. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Taylors Road was the venue for Science and Mathematics faculties and Chinmaya Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School, Virugambakkam, for English and Social Science faculties.
The resource persons were Mrs. V. Gowrilakshmi, Principal, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Annanagar for Taylors road and Mrs. P. Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Director, Chinmaya Vidyalayas for Virugambakkam. The workshop equipped teachers with the knowledge and skills to shift from traditional, content-based teaching to a more student-centric, competency-driven approach.
Mrs. Aishwarya, Co-ordinator of the Chinmaya Computing Club, successfully facilitated an enriching 5-day (7TH APRIL TO 11TH APRIL) Electronics Workshop in collaboration with the Robotics Department of Easwari Engineering College. The session was led by esteemed faculty members Dr. Arun and Dr. Nandini, both distinguished experts from the department.
A group of 20 enthusiastic students participated in this hands-on workshop, where they were introduced to the foundational concepts of robotics, beginning with the basics of electronics. The interactive session sparked curiosity and inspired the young learners to explore the fascinating intersection of technology and innovation.
The auspicious Ganapathy Homam marked the beginning of the new academic year 2025-2026. It was held on 10th April 2025 in the school premises. The ritualistic ceremony was headed by our honourable Correspondent Shri N Nagarajan, Madam Principal Smt. Chempian Elavarasi and Madam Vice Principal Smt. K Vasundhara. Students of Classes X, XII and staff sang Bhajans, chanted Slokas and made offering to the ‘Homakund’ with devotional fervour to seek the blessings of our Poojya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda and the Almighty to make this academic year a grand success.
7th April 2025 - World Health Day 2025 was observed globally with the theme 'Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures' as declared by World Health Organisation (WHO). Students were briefed on the importance of being healthy and the benefits of inculcating the habit of regular exercise. They were motivated to do Yoga during assembly. This healthy routine is practiced daily.
Ram Navami was celebrated on 5th April 2025, to commemorate the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Classes from KG to XII took part in age-appropriate activities designed for their respective levels. Acts of generosity and compassion such as distributing ‘Panagam’ and Buttermilk to the general public during the hot and dry month, served as a way to share traditional beverages and connect with the community.
The workshop on Stress Management conducted by Mrs. V Gowrilakshmi; Principal, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Annanagar and Dr.Maheshwari Nagarajan, Director, AM Jain School Meenambakkam; on 3rd April 2025, equipped teachers with practical tools and strategies to recognize, understand, and manage stress. This initiative of the management aimed at the well-being of their faculty. The workshop activities covered topics like recognizing stress triggers, practicing relaxation techniques, improving time management, and building resilience. Teachers vouched that the activity found its mark.
