Rising Star on Wheels Ahanya T. A. Shines at Chennai District Speed Skating Championships - Sep 2025

Ahanya T. A. of Class 1 D brought immense pride to our Vidyalaya by winning Gold in both the 100m Road and 400m Rink events in the Under-6 Girls category at the Chennai District Championships 2025, conducted by the Speed Skating Federation of India. Her outstanding performance has earned her selection to represent Chennai in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Speed Skating State Meet. Ahanya’s dedication, speed, and perseverance at such a young age exemplify her promise as a budding athlete and an inspiration for her peers.

Empowering Leaders Through Scouting Smt. Akila and Smt. Sarala Attend National Training Camp - Sep 2025

Smt. Akila and Smt. Sarala from our Vidyalaya participated in the Bharath Scouts and Guides Training Programme held at the Hoskote Camping and Training Centre from 12th to 18th September. Smt. Akila successfully completed the Basic Course for Flock Leader, while Smt. Sarala completed the Basic Course for Guide Captain. The intensive training equipped them with advanced leadership skills, team-building strategies, and programme management techniques. Their participation reflects the school’s commitment to professional development and fostering leadership qualities among its staff, enhancing their ability to mentor and guide students effectively.

The Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP), an initiative of Reliance India Foundation, promotes value-based learning through sports across schools worldwide. In a moment of immense pride, three impact stories from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Virugambakkam were selected and shared across RIL’s internal verticals, reaching over five lakh employees. Three Cheers, Three Wins – Our Hat-trick The fifth edition of Kurukshetra, the interschool cultural festival organised by Chinmaya Mission, was held on 25th and 26th July at the Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Chetpet. Centred on the inspiring theme ‘Walk the Gita Way’, the event showcased a vibrant array of competitions celebrating the timeless values of the Bhagavad Gita. Our students delivered stellar performances, culminating in a remarkable hat-trick victory — clinching the Overall Championship Trophy for the third consecutive year, a feat that stands as a testament to their talent, dedication, and team spirit.

Chinmayam 2025, the much-awaited inter-Chinmaya cultural event, was inaugurated by H.H. Swami Mitrananda Ji on 17th July at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Taylors Road, Chennai. The two-day celebration of culture, creativity, and camaraderie witnessed spirited participation from our students, who came out with flying colours in various competitions, bringing pride and joy to our Vidyalaya. In the prestigious PSBB Reverberations 2025, our students brought laurels to the school with their remarkable performances. Kamala Varshini secured the First Prize in T-shirt Doodling, impressing the judges with her creativity, intricate designs, and artistic flair. Our students won First and Third Prize in Music Production, Second Prize in Dance, First and Third Prize in Debate, First Prize in Comic Designing, Second Prize in Band, First Prize in Monoacting and Third Prize in Fashion Walk. Our School also won Prize for Maximum number of participants and OverAll Kurkshetra 2024 Prize.

Through the Kaleidoscope

Samyukta of class IX C has written a book of poems titled ‘Through the Kaleidoscope’. It was published by Bookleaf Publishing and is available in Amazon. This book captures various vignettes of life through the eyes of a teenager. It takes the reader from mundane to cosmic in the flip of a page. It has received good reviews in Amazon and was ranked 20 among the ‘Hot New sellers’ category. The book was also nominated for the prestigious 21st Emily Dickinson’s award.
