AchievementsAhanya T. A. of Class 1 D brought immense pride to our Vidyalaya by winning Gold in both the 100m Road and 400m Rink events in the Under-6 Girls category at the Chennai District Championships 2025, conducted by the Speed Skating Federation of India. Her outstanding performance has earned her selection to represent Chennai in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Speed Skating State Meet. Ahanya’s dedication, speed, and perseverance at such a young age exemplify her promise as a budding athlete and an inspiration for her peers.
Smt. Akila and Smt. Sarala from our Vidyalaya participated in the Bharath Scouts and Guides Training Programme held at the Hoskote Camping and Training Centre from 12th to 18th September. Smt. Akila successfully completed the Basic Course for Flock Leader, while Smt. Sarala completed the Basic Course for Guide Captain. The intensive training equipped them with advanced leadership skills, team-building strategies, and programme management techniques. Their participation reflects the school’s commitment to professional development and fostering leadership qualities among its staff, enhancing their ability to mentor and guide students effectively.

Our Vidyalaya proudly celebrates the achievement of its young innovators who secured the Special Jury Award in the grand finale of Futurepreneur 2025, a prestigious state-level ideathon. The competition brought together over 50 dynamic teams, including regional winners from across different zones, making the victory even more remarkable. The Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP), an initiative of Reliance India Foundation, promotes value-based learning through sports across schools worldwide. In a moment of immense pride, three impact stories from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Virugambakkam were selected and shared across RIL’s internal verticals, reaching over five lakh employees. Notably, CVV was the only school whose stories were featured and circulated, earning special appreciation from the OVEP team. Sai Veshagan of Class 2A secured 3rd place in the State-Level Yoga Competition held in Salem. Competing at such a young age, his balance, flexibility, and determination impressed the judges. Dakshin brought laurels to the school by securing 3rd prize in the State-Level Yoga Competition organized by Kalam Event Management. Aakarshana of Class 7D made the school proud by securing 4th place in the State-Level Chess Tournament held on 31st August. Competing against top players from across the state, her strategic thinking and calm composure stood out. In a display of remarkable determination and talent, Ahanya of Class I D brought laurels to the school by winning the Silver Medal in the 400-meter race (Under-8 category) at the Chennai District Roller Skating Championships. Yashaswini S of Class XI made our Vidyalaya proud by winning a special prize in the A Green Check competition, organised as part of ENVIRO 2025 by the Industrial Waste Management Association. Her outstanding performance earned her a cash award of ₹500, recognising her commitment to environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
With grace, strength, and determination, Hania of Class IV B brought glory to our Vidyalaya by clinching the Gold Medal at the State-Level Gymnastics Competition. Excelling in both Floor Exercise and Balance Beam events, her outstanding performance stands as an inspiration to all, proving that hard work and passion lead to shining success.
Three Cheers, Three Wins – Our Hat-trick The fifth edition of Kurukshetra, the interschool cultural festival organised by Chinmaya Mission, was held on 25th and 26th July at the Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Chetpet. Centred on the inspiring theme ‘Walk the Gita Way’, the event showcased a vibrant array of competitions celebrating the timeless values of the Bhagavad Gita. Our students delivered stellar performances, culminating in a remarkable hat-trick victory — clinching the Overall Championship Trophy for the third consecutive year, a feat that stands as a testament to their talent, dedication, and team spirit.
In the interschool competitions hosted by PS Senior Secondary School, Mylapore, our students showcased their talent and teamwork across multiple events. Their outstanding performances earned them top positions in various categories, bringing pride to our Vidyalaya.
Chinmayam 2025, the much-awaited inter-Chinmaya cultural event, was inaugurated by H.H. Swami Mitrananda Ji on 17th July at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Taylors Road, Chennai. The two-day celebration of culture, creativity, and camaraderie witnessed spirited participation from our students, who came out with flying colours in various competitions, bringing pride and joy to our Vidyalaya. Their commendable victories across diverse events were a testament to their talent, preparation, and team spirit
In the prestigious PSBB Reverberations 2025, our students brought laurels to the school with their remarkable performances. Kamala Varshini secured the First Prize in T-shirt Doodling, impressing the judges with her creativity, intricate designs, and artistic flair. Darshini Lenin won the Third Prize in Shipwreck, captivating the audience with her quick wit, confident speaking, and presence of mind.

On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Mrs. K.V. Rubeena, Head of the Hindi Department, received the Best Teacher Award for her progressive and creative contributions to the field of education. The award was organized by Madhubun Educational Books and was held on September 20, 2024, at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore.
Mrs.Rubeena received The Honorary Doctorate from Global International University for her Thesis and Kabir Chaura manavatavadi samman from Divy prerak kahaniyan humanity research centre. She also received one more Award Antharashtriya Hindi Sevi Samman from Rashtra Bhasha Sevak Sangh.

Kurukshetra competition conducted by Chinmaya Mission had Bhagavad Geetha Chapter 5 as this year's theme. Our students won First and Third Prize in Music Production, Second Prize in Dance, First and Third Prize in Debate, First Prize in Comic Designing, Second Prize in Band, First Prize in Monoacting and Third Prize in Fashion Walk. Our School also won Prize for Maximum number of participants and OverAll Kurkshetra 2024 Prize.

Samyukta of class IX C has written a book of poems titled ‘Through the Kaleidoscope’. It was published by Bookleaf Publishing and is available in Amazon. This book captures various vignettes of life through the eyes of a teenager. It takes the reader from mundane to cosmic in the flip of a page. It has received good reviews in Amazon and was ranked 20 among the ‘Hot New sellers’ category. The book was also nominated for the prestigious 21st Emily Dickinson’s award.
Times of India and VIT Chennai honoured contribution of teachers for societal growth and nation building. Ms.Chitrakala is a proud recipient of the award who was honoured by Prof.V.Kamakoti, IIT Madras on 21 March 2024 at VIT Chennai Campus.
