   Cricket is India's favourite sport with millions following the game very very closely. Though Hockey is our National Game, Cricket rules. Women's cricket has come a long way and with our National team performing so well at the International stage, our Women cricketers are finally getting the respect they deserve. Mithali Raj, Smiti Mandhana and other stars are role models for young people to emulate. Our own Suganthashree of class XI A is one of the stars of the future.

-    A medium pacer/all rounder she has been selected in the Squad of 25 of TNCA U-19 State Team.
-    Cricketing laurels is not new to Suganthashree. She has won the player of the match award for one of the Elshaddai Trophy matches in Nov'20.
-    She also has won the best bowler of the series award in the First Step Cricket Academy-Inter District on 4th February 2021. There is a mention of her performance in the Times of India.
-    She has bagged the ‘Woman of the Match Award’ given by Mrs. Aarti Sankaran-BCCI Women Head Coach 2020-21 TNCA at the St. George Senior State Women Vs Juniors on 30th June 2021, Chennai.

Her trophy cabinet is filled with numerous such awards. We wish this budding star all the very best and pray she dons India colours soon.
