Navaratri, the festival of dolls, was celebrated at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Sr. Sec. School, Virugambakkam, Chennai, with great pomp and show.
In this connection, a spectacular kolu titled ‘Gita Makarandam’ was arranged in the school premises. Being the centenary year of Pujya Gurudev, Swami Chinmayananda, the chosen theme for the kolu was ‘Bhagavad Gita’, Gurudev’s favourite topic. This kolu depicts the inner meaning of all the 18 adhyayas or chapters of The Holy Gita in a simple form. Stories from puranas, related to these adhyayas, were exhibited in the kolu. | ||||
