Exhibition on "Herbal Plants – Our Life Enhancer"

Chinmaya Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School, Chinmaya Nagar - Stage II conducted an exhibition on, Herbal Plants – Our Life Enhancer’, as part of the International School Award (ISA) project for Classes VII & VIII. The exhibition highlighted the important role that herbs play in food, beverages and cosmetics. A variety of herbs and herbal products were on show. Children actively participated in the making of the short literature, herbariums, posters and paintings which were exhibited. Students even entertained their school mates and the visitors with a song which aimed at educating and sharing ideas about the many ways herbs bring joy and well being into our daily lives. This was followed by the adzap showcasing the benefits of herbs. Visitors to the exhibition could relish various herbal dishes and drinks from countries like Italy, Mexico, Sri Lanka and India. The exhibition was graced by the presence of the Correspondent, Shri N. Nagarajan, the Principal, Smt. P. Vijayalakshmi and the Vice Principal, Smt. Elavarasi. The active participation of the parents and teachers assured that the event was a grand success.
