Priyadarshini Sivaraja of class VI C has been selected for the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme 2015 for training in the field of Bharatnatayam Dance by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India). She will be receiving a scholarship amount of Rs.1300 every month till the completion of the course. He will be receiving a cash award of Rs. 2500/- , from CBSE which will be credited to his account directly. CBSE EXPRESSION SERIES is a writing series initiated by CBSE in August 2014. The expression series focuses on great leaders and important issues related to women, society and the nation. The students are grouped in three categories - Classes I - V, Classes VI - VIII and Classes IX - XII. In the CBSE Expression Series on Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam held on 15th October 2015, V. Shruthi of class V 'C' has won a cash prize of Rs.2,500 and a Certificate of Merit on the topic, "Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s school days and how it influenced me…". Prashanth Prabhu of class XII selected for Tamil Nadu State U-19 Cricket Team. He is also the recipient of Best Wicket Keeper award. In connection with Gurudev’s Centenary Celebrations, CQ Quiz (Chinmaya Quotient Quiz) was conducted for the students of Chinmaya Vidyalayas all over the country, in which 12,500 students participated. Out of this 240 students were short-listed for the 2nd level and 25 for the third & final level. From our school 3 students S.Gayathri, K.R.Pavan and Tejasvee Chandrasekaran made to the final level. 5 students were selected for the oral round in which S.Gayathri of class XII qualified. She came first in this final round and received a cheque for Rs.30,000/- from Sw.Anukoolananda. Yashashwini of class LKG won the III Prize in Conquest IQ Olympiad. She was awarded a printer.
