Annual Day Celebrations The teachers of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School Virugambakkam made the Children’s Day celebration in the school a truly entertaining and memorable one. On 14th November, 2014, the morning assembly was conducted by the teachers in which the news and the thought were rendered by them. During assembly, the teachers entertained the children by singing a ‘Villu Pattu’ on Swachch Bharat. This was the beginning of a beautiful and fun-filled day for the children. Several competitions such as, drawing and colouring, patriotic songs, oratorical and quiz were also conducted. Post lunch, teachers performed a skit on the famous fairy tale ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’. The children were taken on a journey into the fantasy world of the fairy tales. The teachers’ performance enthralled the students. Every character was greeted with cheer and applause. The skit presented the moral ‘good wins over evil’ in a befitting manner. This was followed by a dance performance by the teachers which highlighted the campaign for a clean India. The dance began with a bang. The children swayed along to the foot-tapping music and the graceful movements of the dance. The idea for a clean and green India which was initiated by our Indian government was emphasized in an apt manner through music and dance. The entire programme was colourful, lively, enthusiastic and well-appreciated by the students. It was an unforgettable and memorable day indeed!
