They were taken on a visit to the Waste Management Plant at Mahapalipuram . The students were able to experience theutilisation of waste to produce BIO gas and Vermi compost which were inturn used for producing electricity and manure respectively.
The ECO club students removed the waste littered in the premises such as dry leaves, weeds, papers and plastics as an activity to keep the school premises & surrounding clean. They segregated them as bio degradable & non bio degradable. The bio degradable waste was collected in a corner to rot so as to serve as a manure for the plants. |
