Chinmaya and Lions Club Conducted Blood Donation Camp
Bala Sevak students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Virugamakkam and The Lions club of Chennai Coastline , had jointly organised a blood donation camp at the school premises on 19th October 2013. In the presence of MJF Lion P V Prakashkumar- Region Chairperson, Lion Narasimga Raaj, Treasurer ,Lion S V Rajkumar- Zone Chairperson, the School Correspondent Shri Nagarajan inaugurated the camp. The Principal Smt. Vijayalakshmi thanked the parents ,Lion members and the bala sevaks for the wonderful camp and also welcomed the gathering. The students and their parents showed great enthusiasm and participated in large numbers for the second consecutive year. Among the 200 registries, around 90 donors were eligible to donate for the noble cause . The Bal sevaks interacted with the donors and catered to their needs. An annual feature of the school, the Blood Donation camp helped the students gather a lot of experience and knowledge. It was a memorable experience for the students and one felt proud to be a part of an organization that helped those in need of it.
